Meet Our Founders

AYPO is led by husband-and-wife team Bryan and Stevilynn Tom, two lifelong athletes who share a passion for youth development, community, and creating opportunities for every child to feel included.

Bryan brings more than six years of pickleball experience to the organization and competes as a 4.5-level player. His knowledge of the game helps shape AYPO’s league format, player development, and competitive opportunities.

Stevilynn brings experience working with nonprofit organizations and a lifelong commitment to advocating for the underdog. She is passionate about removing barriers, creating inclusive opportunities, and making sure young people feel seen, supported, and valued.

Both Bryan and Stevilynn have participated in sports throughout their lives and understand the powerful role athletics can play in building confidence, character, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

AYPO was formerly known as iPLAY. Bryan and Stevilynn assumed leadership of the program in 2025 with a vision for something bigger. They restructured the league, expanded its opportunities, and transformed it into AYPO American Youth Pickleball Organization—a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Since taking over, the program has more than doubled in size, welcoming young players from schools and communities throughout Eastern Idaho. What began as a youth pickleball league has grown into a community centered on mentorship, teamwork, personal growth, and belonging.

Bryan and Stevilynn remain actively involved in AYPO’s leadership and daily operations, working alongside volunteer coaches, board members, families, and community partners to provide structured and affordable opportunities for young athletes.

For them, AYPO is about far more than pickleball. It is about giving every young person—regardless of background or skill level—a place to play, grow, connect, and belong.
